Music Education with a Passion
Welcome to West Wynd Music, the music studio of Nancy Helene Ackerman, clarinetist, music educator, and ensemble coach. Music has played an important part of Nancy’s life since early childhood. Born into a musical family, music was encouraged as an essential part of her education. Also influenced by her uncle, composer Walter Byron Mourant and her great aunt, violinist and music educator Lottie Ellsworth Coit, Nancy believes everyone should have the opportunity to share in the magic of music.
Founded originally in Concord, MA, Nancy taught music lessons and coached chamber groups for the clarinet, flute, and saxophone to students of all ages and levels at her home studio, West Wind Music.
After moving to the Worcester, MA area, she regrouped her studio as West Wynd Music (changing the Wind to Wynd). Nancy continues to offer private and group lessons, as well as coaching small chamber ensembles.
